The typical day in the life of a real estate agent is hectic to say the least. Running here and there for listing appointments, presenting contracts or showing houses. Not to mention the last minute calls that need attention right away. You definitely don’t want to lose an opportunity!
All of this can leave you feeling unprepared and even cause you to miss valuable future income. A lack of organization leads to additional stress and burnout. And part of organization is having systems in place that will allow you to focus and be prepared when a crisis arises. You will have preparations pre-made to not only save you time but be sure nothing is left out. Let’s take a look at a few things that I hope you are already doing. But if not, here are a few hints that will definitely help. 1. Start by making a checklist for listings and buyers including all the things that are important to you and that you use when meeting with a seller or buyer. Group all these items together in separate folders on your computer where they are readily accessible. Label it whatever works for you so that you will remember it. 2. Be sure to include a list of questions you usually ask with room for your notes. Include a listing input form or a spreadsheet to list all of the homes’ features for listings or the buyers’ wants and needs. 3. You may also want to have a set of rules for things that you will and won’t do. This will keep you from saying “yes” when you actually mean “no”. You can go overboard having too many lists, unless that’s your personality, and systems in place so create only the ones that are most important to you. Office Solutions 4 U can help you get these in place promptly and competently. Don’t throw away another lost opportunity due to lack of organizations and systems.
